Secondly, there is another layer of resin coating the fiberglass called the “gel coat”. It’s the layer that seals the Jetski or boat and gives it extra durability and that pretty shine. Scratches will involve working with this material as well and add another dimension of skill and understanding. This includes color matching and sanding. I served two years and during that time I went to Vietnam and was stationed in the Central Highlands for 9 months.
